For me, personally, thinking of having an oatmeal bowl for breakfast is something that opens up a door to countless possibilities of combinations of fruits, spices, and flavors. It’s my absolute favorite go-to when I am looking for something quick and fruity, salty and savory, or just a big breakfast full of healthy fats and flavors. That’s exactly what this oatmeal bowl represents – a perfect combination of chocolate flavors with hints of nutty almonds, and fresh coconut shreds. This bowl, topped with fruit, is an effortless and incredibly healthy alternative to searching on Google the entire morning for “healthy recipes” on a budget. Ingredients

60g of oats
20g of almond flour/shredded almonds
1 and 1/2 tbsp of 100% unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp of shredded coconut
1 tbsp of Chia seeds/ground flax seeds
Optional - vanilla extract, protein powder, cinnamon
Fruits for toppings

Instructions

Step 1 – in a bowl or a container, mix 60g of oats, 20g of almond flour, 1 and 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder, and 1 tbsp of Chia/flax seed Step 2 – in a pot on a stove, bring 1 and 1/2 cup of water to a boil (approximately 300 ml) Step 3 – Add oats mixture to the boiling water & cook for 2-4 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally, right before taking off the heat, mix in 1/2 tbsp of chocolate chips NOTE – If you’re using protein powder for extra protein content, after removing the mixture from the heat, mix in 1 scoop of protein powder before adding toppings, calories, price, and macros of the meal will then vary Step 4 – Remove from heat, place oats in a bowl and top with 1/2 tbsp of chocolate chips, 1 tbsp of shredded coconut, and fruits of your choice (Optional – mix a few drops of vanilla extract in the mixture if desired for extra flavor)
